Political Journey -

Beginning

He began his political life in 1980 as President of the Students’ Union of Government Science College, Jabalpur.

1982

He became the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

1986-87 :

He served as the State Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

1987-90 :

He held the position of State General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

1989 :

Elected to the 9th Lok Sabha from Seoni, he was the youngest Member of Parliament in that term.

1996 :

Re-elected to the 11th Lok Sabha from Seoni.

1998 :

Director General, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.

1999 :

Elected to the 13th Lok Sabha from Balaghat.

2003 :

General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Madhya Pradesh.

2011-2014 :

National President of the Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Mahasangh.

2014 :

Elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Damoh.

2015-2017 :

In-charge of Manipur Pradesh; during the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly elections, the first BJP government was formed under his charge.

2019 :

Re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Damoh (his fifth parliamentary term).

2019-2021 :

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture and Tourism in the Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

2021-2023 :

Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti in the Government of India.

1990-2023 :

Members of important permanent and advisory central committees during various Lok Sabha terms

2023 :

Elected for the first time as an MLA to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Narsinghpur.

2024 से Present :

Minister of Panchayat, Rural Development, and Labour, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Notable Social Work -

  • Social awareness campaigns and pad yatras (foot marches) on various issues, such as: the “Revolution Torch March” for youth, assistance to farmers during natural disasters, campaigns against Naxalism, Narmada river cleanliness drives, anti-drug initiatives, commemorative events for martyrs, and other causes.
  • Relief work for earthquake victims – in Jabalpur and Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Rehabilitation efforts after dam breaches in Balaghat district. Labor donation to build temporary shelters for displaced people in Jabalpur, etc.
  • Founder of the Narmadakhand Seva Sansthan. Organized blood donation and eye donation camps, as well as personality development programs for underprivileged children. The organization works in the fields of education, health, and community development, especially in rural areas.
  • In 2016, established the first cow sanctuary in the state at Jararudham, under the Damoh parliamentary constituency of Madhya Pradesh. The sanctuary focuses on the protection of cattle, medical care, intensive tree plantation, production of gobar gas, organic fertilizers, and cow wood. Projects include a farmer training center, organic farming, and a medicinal plant nursery, along with rural tourism facilities.
  • Under his guidance, the Sahyog Kreeda Mandal, Gotegaon, District Narsinghpur (M.P.), has been organizing competitions in Kabaddi, Volleyball, and Athletics for the past 42 years, particularly among rural youth, to develop their physical and mental abilities.
